BB25 and 35 – ideal travel carrier for cats and small dogs

Every travel carrier is equipped with the following accessories:

How to determine which travel carrier size is right for your pet

A = length from nose to root of tail
B = height from ground to elbow joint
C = width across back
D = height in neutral position

Length of kennel equal to A + ½ B
Width of kennel equal to C x 2
Height of kennel equal to D + 1 inch

Tip #1: To determine ‘D’ and ‘B’ as accurately as possible, simply stand next to your pet and make a mark on your leg where the top of their head comes to (or ears if they are higher). Then, use measuring tape to measure the length from the ground to the marked point on your leg. This is measurement D. To find measurement B, simply divide this number in half.

Tip #2: We suggest that almost all adult cats use the BB35 travel carrier size. However, for kittens, we suggest using the BB25.

BRACHYCEPHALIC (SNUB-NOSED) DOG AND CAT BREEDS
Extra care is required when transporting Brachycephalic (short-nosed) dog and cat breeds as they often have hereditary respiratory problems. These animals are susceptible to increased risk of heat stroke and breathing problems when exposed to stress or extreme heat. To reduce the risk when transporting short-nosed breeds, it is common practice to use a travel carrier which is ONE size larger than normally required.
